Labour and social-security law issues significantly affect every employer’s business. Properly organizing the company’s affairs in this aspect and efficiently resolving problems that arise are key elements of maintaining and developing a company based on human labour.

Among other activities, we assist our clients with legal issues related to employment strategy and structure, preparation of internal employee documentation and all matters related to individual employee contracts. We provide support in negotiations with labour unions and represent Clients in collective labour disputes. We advise on issues related to employment of foreigners in Poland – we represent Clients, for example, in proceedings for the granting and extension of work permits. We also assist in matters related to the legality of residency in the country.

We also represent Clients in employment litigation and inspections, and in disputes with the Social Security Institution (ZUS). We conduct proceedings on issues relating to, among others, being subject to social security, appeals against decisions of pension authorities, payment of social-security contributions, as well as determining employees’ rights to social-security benefits and obtaining them.

Experience has taught us that support in the field of labour law and social security usually has to be fast and effective. Therefore, we also remain available to our Clients in crisis situations that require an immediate response.

What do we do within this specialization?

  • We prepare documents related to employment including, among others, employment contracts, managerial contracts and non-competition agreements.
  • We prepare work regulations, remuneration regulations and company social-benefit-fund regulations, as well as other intra-company sources of labour law.
  • We conduct audits of employee records.
  • We offer termination assistance (individual layoffs, collective/monitored layoffs).
  • We provide representation in all labour-law disputes including, among others, those related to the establishment, determination or termination of the employment relationship, bullying and discrimination cases, and non-competition cases.
  • We take part in negotiations with labour unions and provide assistance in collective labour disputes.
  • We provide legal services for processes related to the employment of foreigners in Poland.
  • We represent Clients in inspection proceedings conducted by the State Labour Inspectorate and the Social Insurance Institution.
